Pep Guardiola's 'lucky' grey cardigan is 1,200 and made by Theresa May's favourite Italian designe

IT is the oversized “lucky” cardi many Manchester City fans think helped their team win the historic Treble.

We can reveal that manager Pep Guardiola’s favourite grey cardigan costs £1,200 and is made by Theresa May’s favourite Italian designer, Herno.

The Spaniard, 48, has worn it 30 times this season, as the Sky Blues clocked up a record tally of wins in all competitions on their path to Premier League, Carabao Cup and, FA Cup glory.

The only blip was being knocked out of the Champions League by Spurs.

If you want to look like Pep and perhaps bring a bit of luck to your life, we have found a much cheaper version on Asos for just £29.99.

Having been told I bear a passing resemblance to the stylish footie boss, I headed over to Wembley to show off our find ahead of City’s 6-0 thrashing of Watford.

City fans were thankful we were there in our cardi to bring them luck — and their 50th win of the season — as Pep ditched his usual look in favour of a grey jumper.

Howard Frost, 60, tried the cardi on and could not tell it apart from the real thing. The dad of two, from Manchester, said: “It’s lovely. Paying £1,200 sounds a bit much but it’s Pep’s lucky jumper and has become part of who he is. Your version is a real bargain.”

But there is a chance to get hold of the real one. Pep last night said fans can bid to buy it on the City website in a charity auction.

He joked: “It’s summer, so I don’t need it any more.”
